![]() The pad is very fragile, it cannot be easily moved and the sections should be assembled where you intend to display it. Two of the kits with 6 LED plates are required to fully light the build. The pad is 28cm wide and made of 270 pieces, costing approximately £25 to build, and has spaces for the cheap USB LED 1x4-plate kits found on ebay for about £5 each. ![]() If you've already built the set you can safely remove the wings, rebuild the centre section and then reattach and made a few minor changes to the wings.Īlongside the mod instructions is a Kamino Landing Pad zip file, containing instructions and a Studio model (parts list). My instructions completely replace the original instruction booklet so if you're crazy enough to build the ship my way first you're going to have to open up all the bags before you start. The tail point hanging over the cockpit means it can no longer be hinged open, instead the cockpit and hinge are connected to a 2x2 jumper plate and can be removed seperately from the droid cover. ![]() R4’s body can still be hidden away in the body of the ship. I repositioned the black inverted slopes to give the impression of landing gear on the wings, when landed the whole ship now rests very close to the ground. The cockpit is now much lower and closer to the engines but everything still fits together as it should. I've reused the stickered parts, all but one in the original position, and kept the shapes of the wings the same with just a couple of surface changes. The Delta-7 starfighters have an elevated cockpit, but not as high as this set would have us believe, so I've rebuilt the entire centre section to lower the cockpit by about 2 plates.
